意大利Funeral Doom/Death Metal乐队，组建于2010年。 Plateau Sigma is an Italian musical project born in fall 2010. Guitarist and singer Manuel Vicari and drummer Nino Zuppardo co-found the band after their meeting that year, starting to work on some material by Manuel. Afterwards, Francesco Genduso joins the band as second guitarist and harsh vocalist, then the line up become stable with the joining of Maurizio Avena as bass player. With this line-up the band begins to shape Manuel's vision: a dark ritualistic music with a solid doom death metal nucleus, inspired by the great british band as My Diyng Bride, Anathema and Paradise Lost, but also influenced by the 80's New and Dark Rock (Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Fields Of The Nephilim, Also The Trees). Their first release is "White Wings Of Nightmares", totally recorded by Genduso, but produced and distributed by the reborn "Beyond... Productions/Masterpiece Distribution from Genova. Simoultaneously to a local live activity, the band plunges in a deep songwriting period. In a few months they set the basis for their second release. The sound of the project goes towards a Funeral Doom aesthetic, influenced by bands such as Evoken, Ahab, Shape Of Despair, Mournful Congregation, but also contaminated by far from metal styles.
