
Cristina Ariagno
Since the nineties the pianist Cristina Ariagno (great scholar of the Art nouveau movement) has dedicated herself to the execution and revaluation of the French composers who operated in the late 19th and early 20th century. She played for important musical societies in all Italy, Spain, France, Romania, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, South America, collaborating with several orchestras like the "Piccola Sinfonica" of Milano and the "Orchestra Filarmonica " of Minsk too. Graduated in piano, choral music and choir direction, she improved herself with Clara Fumagalli, a great pupil of Benedetta Michelangeli. In 2007 she obtained a great success of critics and public (5 Music stars) thanks to the recording of the integral work of Erik Satie (Brilliant, 6 CD). The scrupolous analyse of the piano score together with the deep knowledge of the historical period and to the timber research brought her to record the integral of the "chamber" music with piano of Debussy, the piano opera for bow-strings and piano of Tailleferre with the Art Nouveau Ensemble, the piano opera of Aubert and some pieces of Poulenc, Milhaud, Ravel, Boulanger, Ibert. Its been several years that she gave up teaching at the Academy of Music to dedicate herself to the contemporary art.
