Originally The Prize was going to be a concept album that traced a relationship through the passages of time. But as we all know, relationships are more complicated than that. \r \r Someone wrote to me and said they might use "3 Wishes" as their wedding song, which is at once incredibly humbling and all I could've hoped for from this album.\r \r The songs were recorded in Brooklyn, London and Glasgow, often in the middle of the night.
