The Fame is the debut album by American singer and songwriter Lady GaGa. GaGa worked closely with producers RedOne and Space Cowboy. The album is closely preceded by her debut single, "Just Dance," which was released on June 17, 2008. An album sampler featuring brief 30 second clips of the song's leaked onto YouTube on August 11, 2008.
In a Gakcity.com interview, Gaga confirmed that track #8 would differ on each version of the CD depending on location. The USA receiving "Starstruck" (Produced by Space Cowboy and Martin Kierszenbaum) and in Canada, "Money Honey" (Produced by RedOne). The #8 in Europe is "Vanity". The full album leaked onto the internet on August 19, 2008, 1 hour and 13 minutes prior to officially being available for purchase on iTunes.
