'P’s Theme’ marks the third release in Phil Weeks’ series of super-limited edition, hand-tagged, white-label vinyl EPs. Three tracks follow the Parisian’s trademark style of 909 beats and vintage samples all layered to perfection in the Akai MPC3000, and all have been thoroughly tested out by Phil in Miami and on his subsequent, unrelenting gig schedule. Since 2000 Phil Weeks has released his unique brand of house music on some of the world’s leading underground labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Magnetic, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which is responsible for the majority of his original output. Robsoul has been responsible for his three critically acclaimed albums, including 2012’s ‘Raw Instrumental’. This release sees the start of an exciting few months for the Robsoul label, with the launch of a digital-only stream of EPs imminent, a new line in jewellery (yes!), and a six-release series of mini albums featuring the best of Robsoul’s most prominent artists – DJ Sneak, DJ W!LD, Fries & Bridges, Joss Moog, Chris Carrier and Phil himself. There will also be more vinyl EPs from Robsoul with Joss Moog up next, and the new instalment of Phil’s video diary Underground Chronicles.
