The song shows a style that Phil has become famous for, with his own unmistakable, lazy Parisian vocal laid over a relentlessly driving and sleazy groove. In the same way that Hypnose (with it’s “Yeah I like that” vocal) and All Day Every Day (which topped Beatport’s House chart in 2010) connected so well with DJs and clubbers, My Way looks set to have the same impact. The original mix comes backed with an instrumental and acapella and will be released on limited vinyl on 29th November, followed by digital download later in the year. Phil Weeks is also now synonymous with bringing his music and personality to life with visuals, and a video for My Way is already in the works, which will be translated into seven languages. Since 2000 Phil Weeks has released his unique brand of house music on some of the world’s leading underground labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Magnetic, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which is responsible for the majority of his original output. Robsoul has been responsible for his three critically acclaimed albums – Love Affair, Raw Instrumental and Yeah, I Like That. 2013 has been one of Phil’s busiest years so far, with the release of the three-volumed Crate Diggin compilation, original music for Supplement Facts and Robsoul, and remixes for Saved, Cajual, Snatch!, Homecoming and Bass Culture.
