Kevin Turner is an instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for the Department of Music and African-American Studies, and is the founding director world renowned UAB Gospel Choir. Before moving to Birmingham, AL he was minister of music and organist for televangelist Bishop Noel Jones. Turner’s compositions have charted in top five positions on Amazon.com and XM Satellite Radio. His videos with his choir have over one million combined hits on youtube.com. He’s toured the U.S. from New York to Las Vegas; Canada; the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Great Britain with the UAB Gospel Choir and they both have been the feature stories in Southern Living Magazine and UAB Magazine. He's been employed by historic houses of worship to include the 16th Street Baptist Church and 6th Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.
