Animal Teeth are a sad-rock trio from Winnipeg, lazily reaching towards their own ideas of irony, and self-critical approaches to sappy love songs and political protest. The themes are often understated and multi-referential, allowing for introspective reflections of your own joys and miseries or for fun and casual sedative listening. Adam, Ian and Stefan of Animal Teeth have played in various bands including the 7-piece sad-pop group Spirit Children and a one-night-only Sum 41 cover-band. The band members play with a familiarity that makes for comfortable and “inside-joke heavy” (Exclaim) performances which are always welcoming, often funny, and sometimes very strange.
