Volume 2 of The Basement Tapes (a series kicked off on Infusion in February 2013) pushes off with the haunting "The Very Beginning". Lush chords over chuggy disco beats and the GTO Girls interjecting with a story of Zen and spirituality. Track 2 on the EP, "7 Bar Blues", is a homage to the deep house sound of the early 90s. Filtered pads and crisp drums and an unusual time signature. Finishing off we have disco loop action with "Rope a D**e". Classic Conan Liquid one bar loop energy for the head nodding dancefloor compadres. All tracks mastered on quarter inch reel to reel by Quincy Maldano for that total analog flavour.
