Supermoon
Adrian Niles was born and raised on the banks of the Ohio River near the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Niles grew up listening to his father and uncles hard driving bluegrass band perform stirring renditions of traditional and popular songs from the Seventies and early Eighties.
In his early teenage years, the sounds of Hendrix, Dylan and Howlin Wolf beckoned Adrian to the life of a performing and recording artist. Adrian began performing the club scene of the upper Ohio Valley at the age of 15. Along with some school mates he formed the band Legacy, performing mostly Kiss, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin songs, and a few of their own.
In 1996 Niles formed his own aggregate the Adrian Niles Band and since 1998 he has released six studio albums, a Live album and, in 2008, the successful debut record Deadtown with the West Virginia roots-rock group The Trainjumpers.
Adrian Niles and his band have had songs featured on CBS’s long time running daytime series The Young & The Restless and on FX Network’s hit series Justified. They have opened shows for legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artist Dave Mason of the band Traffic, Texas trio Los Lonely Boys, SRV’s widowed rhythm section Double Trouble (Storyville) and Jefferson Airplane, just to name a few. Adrian also opened an evening with a very successful solo acoustic set for the iconic group The New Riders of the Purple Sage at the legendary BB King’s Blues Club in New York City, Times Square.
2015 has found Niles and long-time bandmate/drummer, Clint Landis in studio recording Supermoon, a guitar-driven rock record with Classic Rock and Alt. Blues rudiments. As a lyricist, Adrian Niles speaks with an honest interpretation to the circumstances that affect his life and times. The pairing of Niles’ strong narrative, through his sweet throaty rasping voice, with a bare-bones heavy guitar, drums, bass, keys ensemble gives Supermoon all the makings for a great rock album.
