When Irish Music...

When Irish Music...

When Irish Music came in my life, in 1976, I was very young.
I've played, studied and loved many different genres of music and traditions... but Irish and Scottish Traditional Music remain inside me.
So I decided to publish this album of my favorite tunes, which I recorded along the last 20 years. They're all instrumentals.

All compositions are traditional or composed by Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) and by Rory Dall O'Cathain (late 16th-early 17th century).
All music arranged and played by Marco Giaccaria.
Instruments: flutes, whistles, recorders, bansouri, violin, viola, mandola, bouzouki, guitars, bass and sampled percussions.
Cover photo: Saint James' Chapel, Cumiana.
Recorded and mixed by Marco Giaccaria (between september 1994 and september 2014).
Produced by Marco Giaccaria for Musica Mancina.
