Terry Noland and Buddy Holly grew up together in Lubbock, Texas. Buddy sent Terry a letter from New York asking him to listen to some songs he had written to use in some future recording sessions. These songs came to be known as The Apartment Tapes. Sadly, Buddy Holly was killed in a tragic plane crash before these two young recording artists could collaborate on an album. Years later, Terry Noland recorded these songs on this album, From Buddy Holly To Terry Noland. The letter Buddy Holly wrote to Terry is copied and included in the CD sleeve. Buddy Holly's wife, Maria, sold this letter at auction years later for $4,950.00!
