About Mark Scott's CD "Elevator"
Former Rich Rags (U.S.) and Inmates front man, folk-turned-hard rocker spans a decades-long arc as a composer, picking among songs he performs as a backdrop/ambient music artist on piano, often with MIDI and/or live accompaniment. The album is naturally more complex and dynamic that its live counterpart. It is "New Age" in that it has no vocals but is rock by any other sensibility. Seventeen upbeat piano-based songs (55 minutes) play well while going about life's rich pageantry - or cleaning the house.
