ryan nicholson is an arizona native, recently transplanted in nashville, TN.

ryan began playing name that tune with his mother back in the 80's. to this day, they still battle who can get a song name faster. yes, his mom usually wins.

self taught on guitar, ryan has been molding musical melodies for over 10 years.

with 2 cd's curently released (Based on a True Story) and (Dream) ryan has shown his fans that he is dedicated to making music that is sincerce.....spoken from every bone and experience that life has offered.

he was also the frontman for the band secondsight. in which he achieved more than he'd ever dreamed. with secondsight, ryan was nominated for a jpfolks.com music award and also had the opportunity to perform live at the recent tempe music festival which had chart toppers like TRAPT on the same line-up, he's also performed on news channel 3, 12 and was spun on the hot az local radio station kzon 101.5.

i had an opportunity to interview ryan earlier this year and learned a lot about him. many may not know, but he's extremely humble, politely encourageable and very down to earth.

what inspires ryan nicholson?

"god. it's amazing to look at the big picture and realize that god is in everyone and everything. he's given us this amazing opportunity to be individually unique and to pursue life, leisure and happiness to our hearts content."

what about musical inspirations?

wow! great question, we'll be here all day on this one. to be honest it all depends on the mood, i grew up listening to all sorts of artists in the arenas of country, rock, top 40, contemporary, pop, metal.....probably like most people, i just enjoy good music. music that has meaning and music that has a great melody. from metallica to the judds...i favor all tastes....one thing i can remember is that my mom always told me to "don't make my brown eyes blue." if you know that one i'll be amazed.....

you seem to be doing what you love and folks are catching on. it seems you are gaining new followers day by day who just love what you do.

"yeah...i feel very fortunate in that i've been able to find something that i believe in. it's the music and the love for people i meet at my concerts. music is my passion, it's what i want to do for a living. yes, i have gotten so much support from so many people and can't thank each individual enough. so here goes, to all you reading this, THANK YOU! for helping me pursue my dream. without you, i would be at best a shower singer..not that it's bad singing in the shower, some of my best work is in the presence of an herbal essence bottle....on a serious note, thanks to everyone that continues to come out and be a part of the ultimate experience. and thanks for sharing my music with your friends, family...oh and pets too!!"

"i'd be doing what i'm doing this very minute. i totally enjoy the music process, from creation, producing & recording. it's me and it's who i am. i just hope the music continues to inspire and help others find meaning in their lives as much as it has in my own life. every day is a new day. grab it...and dare to live your dream.."
