"Local guitar hero Paul Johnson has returned with his latest release, this time as himself. Johnson keeps it simple this time placing five new rootsy songs at the center of his record and getting a little help from drummer Zack Lewis, bassist Mark Black and Ty Taylor on guitar, banjo, mandolin and pedal steel. "Hillbilly Revival" thunders out of the gate like Eric Church, while the autobiographical "One Store Two Church Kinda Town" finds an anthemic sound similar to several current Country chart toppers. "Remember There's a Light On" and "Pasadena" offer more intimate moments before the Shooter Jennings-esque closer "Home Grown" brings the whole CD to rockin' conclusion."
