Let's Flaunt It! (Live)

Let's Flaunt It! is like having a front row seat for one of the most original and outspoken music and comedy duo's of the '80s and '90s--without a two drink minimum or a drunken heckler! Listen and hear why The Village Voice described it as "hilarious and trenchant, [proving] once and for all that the Smothers Brothers are the straight Romanovsky & Phillips!"

Let's Flaunt It! captures the magic of an R&P concert, spotlighting their remarkable ability to connect with their audience through their songs and humor. Recorded at Choices Cabaret in Cathedral City, California, this is the album that their loyal fans have been waiting for. Always finding humor in the most tragic of topics, here R&P take on everything from sodomy laws, coming out, gay teen suicide, religion, and of course, relationships. They poke fun at the pope, the Supreme Court and the KKK in "Homophobes in Robes." They celebrate a young lesbian couple who dare to go to the prom at a time when it was unheard of in "Missy and Heidi." And as always, they laugh their way through the truth and the folly of gay stereotypes in "If There is a God (He's a Queen), "Island Song" and "Some of My Best Friends are Straight". The album closes with one of their most beautiful melodies, "Two Person Strong" which showcases their soaring harmonies at their best.
