Gentry Bronson

Gentry Bronson

In 2008, after a European tour, Gentry Bronson disappeared for 5 months in the Mayan Riviera. He reappeared in the U.S. in the Spring of 2009, and patiently began work on a new "mini-record".

Produced by Gentry Bronson and Jesse Brewster (who also co-produced Gentry's 2008 single "Avond"), and recorded in Northern California at Shabbie Road studios by Alan Hertz (formerly of Garaj Mahal), this is Gentry Bronson's 2009 self-titled EP. In addition to Gentry and Jesse, other musicians on the album include drummer and Gentry's long time collaborator, Alex Aspinall (of Gentry's former band, the Night Watchmen), along with singer Allyson Paige and guitarist James DePrato (of Chuck Prophet).

Mixed in Los Angeles at Blue Velvet studio by another of Gentry's long time collaborators, Brian Hawlk (composer & mixer for the “Diamond Confidential” soundtrack), and mastered by Ken Lee (who has done mastering work for Nirvana, R.E.M. and Sonic Youth), the record moves into yet more new musical territory for Gentry.
