Botielus creates melodic symphonies and soundscapes using only synthesizers. He combines realistic traditional sounds (strings, oboe, piano, etc.) with pure synthesizer sounds - to create a virtual orchestra. The songs range between EXHILARATING and SOOTHING. His music is wonderfully unique, but has been compared to the music of Danny Elfman, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Enigma, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, and Yanni.

Botielus (pronounced bow-TIE-less) is my musician boyfriend, who I have been shacking up with for quite some time. Early in our relationship, he noticed the type of "synthstrumental" music I like to listen to, and (being the confident & talented multi-instrumentalist he is) decided he could easily compose beautiful music that I would enjoy just as much. Turned out, I liked his better! And, once we started sharing it with others, found out that a broad spectrum of people like it very much, as well!
