
Vision
After its establishment in 2000 by Guido de Jongh (guitar) and Frank Schilperoort (drums) Devious played numerous crushing gigs internationally. Having released their eponymous EP in 2002, the band signed to Spitzenburg Records and established itself as one of the most promising acts originating from The Netherlands. Subsequently, the year 2003 marked the release of their first full-length album ‘Acts of Rage’. Upon its release the band shared stages with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Vader, Darkane, Crowbar, Aborted, The Dillinger Escape Plan, God Dethroned, Malevolent Creation en Dying Fetus.
In 2006 Devious successfully toured Europe with Brazilian metal pioneers Krisiun. This tour, among several shorter ones, introduced the band to countries like Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovenia.
