There are songwriters, producers and artist; and then there is Deep. This Phenomena is a master of them all, thus the name. His music is reactionary, from soul-stirring Neo-Soul masterpieces to dance floor hip-hop joints, once you hear the music, you become another Deep fan.
Deep, A.K.A. Melvin Blakely, has been singing since age five, and writing, producing and performing since age eleven. Hehas taken stages from Florida (Disney World), to New York (USS Intrepid), Chicago, San Jose (Loreal Fashion Tour) to home town showcases like Powerfest, hosted by powerhouse Kiss 96.3 DJ Minnesota Fattz, who discovered Deep and broke his first professional record “Bad Like the Braves” (Written for the Atlanta Braves) in 1988, which still plays at Turner Field, during games.
