God Bless the World
Writer Rod Serling once said: For civilization to survive, it must remain civilized. Sometime during the week following the 9/11 attack on New York City, and the crash of the jet in Pennsylvania, a sign was posted outside a local business near my town: God Bless the World, it said.
We are told that God so loved the world, not just part of the world, but All of it...including people with baseball caps, turbans, cowboy hats, and even people who wear no hats at all. When we stop looking for what separates us from everyone, and begin to concentrate on what could possibly draw us together, we will be on the road to true Peace.
This CD is a collection of Songs for the Heart, Songs for the Soul. They are songs of faith, songs of triumph, songs of Love lost, and songs of Love found. They are songs that speak against violence and hate, and the possibility of a world at Peace. Perhaps one of them will be particularly meaningful for you; and maybe all of them will speak to your heart and soul.
As you listen, consider the power of prayer, and don’t ever underestimate it. We live in a local community; we live in a national community; we live in a world community. If we lose sight of any one of these, we can become lost. If we embrace all of them, we are strong, we are not afraid, we are Many who become One.
