The Birds Woke Us Early
Like cool breeze on a summer night or a letter you thought you'd lost, Danger & The Steel Cut Oats catches you when you least expect it. With songs much older than the band's youthful spirit, they carve melodies out of memories long forgotten. Led by the gossamer vocals of Caylin Cervetti, Danger has one foot firmly planted in the mountains while the other foot keeps rhythm with the pulse of their home base in Nashville, TN. Stories about the Civil War, gambling, old love, Westward Expansion, train hopping, and black lung are woven over catchy songs with an air of independent sensibility.
In late 2007, Danger released its first EP entitled "The Birds Woke Us Early." With six song spanning the emotional gamut, "The Birds Woke Us Early" is a humble recording that feels like an old friend.
