Welcome to the fascinating young minds of Rekon. Rekon, short for Reezunable Konshence, consists of Young Bugz and Kemizt, two 15 year-old rappers from the same North Babylon/Wyandanch area as the great Rakim and Soul 4 Real on Strong Island, NY. They have only began performing together since September 2004. Already, Lyrically, (don't mention them in the same breath as Lil' Romeo or Bow Wow! Bad move!) they are reminiscent of wordsmiths such as a Rakim, or an Eminem or a Nas. They bring an innovative and unique perspective to a stagnant rap game. Their mature lyrical content and extensive vocabularies belies their young age, but it is also their rapid-fire verbability to blaze different styles on their different tracks that will endear them to you as your favorite new lyricists.

Actually, they are artists painting their blank canvases with their keen perspective of the landscape in their world. In their music, you will see it, hear it and smell it. They are equally well-versed in party tracks such as "Club Procedure", "Be Mine" for the ladies and making political statements such as "Imagine That".
