RUSSELL WALKER

You wanted a party, then you’ve got it. When you open your eyes and ears at a Russell Walker concert, your life changes as if you entered the world’s biggest party. His energetic performances are guaranteed to make even the most timid among us shake a leg. This high energy, coupled with an emotional commitment to his music, is the formula that has captivated Louisiana’s Country Music Scene.

Born and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Russell began singing at the age of ten in a Pentecostal Church. As Russell grew through adolescence and his teen years, he continued to build on his innate desire to perform. He would sing along with such Legends as Conway Twitty, Hank Williams, and even the King of Rock -n-Roll.

Russell joined the Navy in 1985, where he worked hard not only continuing to develop his music, but his character as well. He served his Country as one of America’s Elite. Russell Walker served in the Persian Gulf in Special Warfare Group One of Special Boat Unit XI.

After completing his tour of duty, Russell returned to his native Louisiana, where he began playing local bars and honky-tonks. Since that time, Russell has grown to become one of the most prominent acts in his area, and has shared the stage with Tracey Lawrence, Matt King, Chris LaDoux, Joe Diffie, Mark Wills, T. Graham Brown, Confederate Railroad, Jimmy Van Zandt, Merle Haggard, Andy Griggs, Artimus Pyle (of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Dan Seal, Wayne Toups, River Road, Neal McCoy, Little River Band and Richocette.

In addition to developing into an outstanding performer, Russell has become the most successful merchandising act in the area. He has sold several thousand Cd’s, tee-shirts, hats, and many other novelty items.

Russell recently teamed up with songwriter and producer, Tom Paden, for his latest album project. Many have praised the album, completely recorded in Nashville, as Russell’s best work to date, and a smash!

Russell looks to each day as an opportunity to continue mastering his craft and living out his ambitions to become a true “Music Man”.
