Summertime Is How to Live

Summertime Is How to Live

Summertime Is How To Live is a fun and engaging release akin to the music of artists like Ingrid Michaelson and Meiko. Tracks to listen for are Ado Annie (a nod to the boy-crazy character in the musical, Oklahoma!), the bittersweet Humble Pie, Juliet's cover of Billy Idol's White Wedding, and Great Great World (featured on the reality show K-Town). The melodies employ a "less is more" approach - catchy, simplistic, and meant to be sung along to. The lyrics put much more of Juliet's personality on display than some of her earlier releases.

Juliet Lyons is an American singer/songwriter/composer living in the Bahamas. As a singer and as a writer, Juliet’s love of exploration and diversity translates to music spanning a variety of genres, as evidenced by her album work thus far - a New Age Album, followed by a Reggae EP, followed by a rock album with the band Mad July (releasing July 1, 2013), and now this album in the Singer/Songwriter genre. "For me, singing and writing in one genre would be like being allowed to only travel to one country," says Juliet, who is also an avid globe-trotter. Her music has been heard on film and television, and she's been nominated twice for Hollywood Music In Media awards. Living in the Caribbean for five years now, the simpler, slower lifestyle was the inspiration for Summertime Is How To Live.
