Songwriter and Recording Artist Candice of Jacksonville, Florida, comes to the music scene with a unique flair. Using urban and hip hop beats Candice is inspired to write lyrics from the heart. Spoken word to music with the touch of vocals and beats to spark attention but a message to change your heart. Candice’s musical experience comes from childhood exposure to piano and dance. She says she remembers her Father creating special songs that they would sing together as they rode along in the car. “Daddy’s Baby” and “Going to Grandma’s House” were her favorites. Her lyrical exposure evolved while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from FL A&M University. As a Teacher, Candice says that her message to her students became more than what was in the books. Soon she began taking writing she journaled while dealing with life’s hardships and putting them to song. She says before her arrival to wholeness the writing was never meant for anyone to hear.
